CARMI DROR IS A MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST, CURRENTLY LIVING AND WORKING IN TEL AVIV. EXAMINING ART, SCIENCE, AND TECHNOLOGY SIMULTANEOUSLY, SHE IS INTERESTED IN THE CONNECTION BETWEEN IMAGERY, COMPUTER VISION, AND HUMAN PERCEPTION, BY PRACTICING LENS-BASED ART AND DIGITAL SPHERES.
IN HER WORK, SHE (MIS)USES COMPUTERS, CAMERAS, POST-PRODUCTION SOFTWARES, DIGITAL SCREENS, AND 3D TECHNOLOGIES AS RAW MATERIALS TO “SCULPT” FROM. THIS PROCESS RESULTS IN A FUSION OF ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL, ACTUAL AND VIRTUAL INTO BROKEN AND DECONSTRUCTED ABSTRACT IMAGES, VIDEO WORKS, AND INSTALLATIONS.
